Val Erickson, DNP, CNP, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She provides telehealth services to North Dakota, Minnesota and South Dakota residents
Val earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Minnesota State University Moorhead, where she graduated cum laude. She worked as a registered nurse at Sanford South University Orthopedic Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota, before returning to school for her doctoral degree.
Val attended North Dakota State University in Fargo and graduated as a family nurse practitioner with her Doctor of Nursing Practice.
After graduation, Val worked as a nurse practitioner at Sanford Children’s Child Abuse Referral and Evaluation (CARE) Clinic. Currently, she serves as a nurse practitioner at Planned Parenthood and Canopy Medical Clinic.
At Canopy Medical Clinic, Val takes a compassionate, personalized approach to care. She provides complete sexual health care services, including gender-affirming hormone therapy and mental health care for LBGTQIA+ individuals.
Val holds several professional certifications, including the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
